Under the bridge Is the answer. Under the bridge Let the rain wash over. Under the bridge Let the waters rise. Under the bridge Let the sirens sing. Under the bridge She is the answer. Under the bridge She is the answer. Under the bridge She is the answer.

Fall 03:49
Gather the forces that sleep within you Now is not the time to feel weak or appear so You have the strength You have it all If you only Just don't Fall I'm too wrapped up in my own skin not to Fall I'm too close to the problem To fight on thick and thin I never abandoned you Just cheering from the sidelines It only takes one little song to fight the Fall You'll never change the one that hurts you Maybe you love a little too much And it leaves you worn out Rise up defend yourself You're the only one who can Nothing anyone else can say Nothing anyone else can do You have the strength You have it all If you only Just don't Fall Ahhhhs... It isn't me It's all within you You have the strength You have it all If you only Just don't Fall Gather the answers that lie within you Now is not the time to feel weak or appear so It isn't me It's all within you You have the strength You have it all If you only Just don't Fall You'll never change the one that hurts you Fall fall fall fall

Look outside There's a whole world out there. The clouds are heavy like my head. Ready to see red. Come outside. There's nothing left to be afraid of. They seem so unusual Just the monsters of our age. "Fair friend, in singing I call you: Sleep no longer..." Chorus by Giraut De Bornelh circa 1200

There's something in here with me Something I can't shake Full of glowing compliment The bird and the snake All teeth and all smile Ferocious on the take Hungering and needy The joints begin to ache I'll give you perfect attention The Prey is on the make For every stolen moment For bitterness' sake Seeming Indestructible But I will not break Forever the child The mistakes we will make Ripping out my tongue The Bird and the Snake Tearing out my heart The Bird and the Snake Digging in my bones The Bird and the Snake Swallowing my pride The Bird and the Snake I still believe... Ripping out my tongue The Bird and the Snake Tearing out my heart The Bird and the Snake Digging in my bones The Bird and the Snake Swallowing my pride The Bird and the Snake Lost Lost Lost Lust Lust Lust Lust Let it go.

Speak 06:30
Speak to me Words flow better in the dark While you're still asleep You remember who you are You've let your fear go All the hunger in your in heart Opens to me A strange window into truth Speak to me Though it may be hard to hear I still believe You're in there somewhere I should be the only one You count on You shouldn't feel so lonely When you're lying next to me --- Speak to me Though it may be hard to hear I still believe You're in there somewhere Caught in the web Of your own mind Caught by the grip of outside eyes Gunning for you Speak to me Though I feel it when you're lost Trying to come back to me Come back to me I should be the only one You count on You shouldn't feel so lonely When you're lying next to me You love me how I never knew I feel it when you're lost Trying to come back to me The one who loves you for who you are Not who they think you are The one who loves you for who you are Not who they think you are

50 Euro Boy 04:20
Roll up your sleeves and disconnect The larger your worth the blacker it gets I don't know him I'm still a girl I have nothing to do with him I'm just a child 50 Euro Boy Grandmother, grandmother fly away home They placed your lifetime on the block Chop chop your life gone Here she was sleeping while they picked through her bones Emotion' s moments slowly abandon the host You are so content to lose The violence of the modern lie So much left to do now that I'm a bit wise I can see her staring back at me The old woman with my eyes But I'm just a child Put the golden calf to pasture The little hairline from age three All the dead work faster faster And she's staring back at me

Let You Go 04:15
There is sadness drifting over you… And the pain in your eyes bleeding through Another day to struggle through And I'm helpless here to save you All I am and all I do Won't keep you here, I know There's nothing I can do but let you go Now the shadows gather into view They don't vanish when I call to you I can feel their darkness coming through No matter how long I hold you All I am and all I do Won't keep you here, I know There's nothing I can do but let you go

Gil's Theme 03:30

How carelessly the bound daylight caresses   Oblivious to wandering eyes extinguished
Free me reckless with the night   Elusive scenes enkindled burst to fire
Where splendor casts umbrageous twin   And love sparks radiance
To guide the heart from within   All in search for you Eve of brilliance   Till the morning proves indifference
For the sparks die   Leaving shadows in my vision How dutifully the dull sunlight chastises   Adopted wings that dare arise with promise
Incandescent I represent   Pandora's uninformed enlightenment
And fears that creep about my flame   Evanesce until the dawn calls them
Home again bearing thoughts of you And I'm helpless to see   Unbecoming of me   Blindly mythicizing Etiolation emphasized by merrythoughts   Once broken by moonlight
Oh brighter to have never loved   Than gather ghosts of the blinding   Relentless sun idealized in you And I can't bear to see   Unbecoming of me   Love is not dead

Hush! Listen... This is my most secret voice - The transient opinion that shapes and creates. The Great Protector has wandered off and all the efforts of an indifferent hand suffers in the end. I am brightest when misunderstood: Legend in performance with curtsy, a hand in Modest protest. Beware Demand, for the gift is then meager. I am ultimately myself - A reeling, changing Unsurety. An insomniatic Heart. A steeley flickering of Light. A moment in time separate from Mind. But a voice. Always, a voice. Tenderest to those who will not own me.

about

This album was recorded by me while I was living next to a wildlife corridor in Austin, TX. Sounds on 'Kindred' include bats, cicadas, frogs, tortoise taps, different kinds of birds, wing patterns, thunder, rain… Some of the beats on the record are actually sampled wing flaps or steps, sounds I recorded and played around with. It's a quirky, loving tribute to all the loves of my life, almost every song was inspired by one of the animals in my life.

There's also a wistful retro feel to this album when it incorporates old school electronica as well as the sounds of nature.

Though this CD was really done by me alone, I was able to get some great help from friends. Justin Stephens mixed some key songs, 'Fall', which he fully remixed and played bass and guitar on, '50 Euro Boy' as well as my jazzy recreation of the FatM song, 'Sparks'. Steve Niles helped me write 'Gil's Theme', which makes a great driving soundtrack as well as 'Undulatos Esperatus'. Caroline Jago (bass/strings) and Lesley Malone (percussion) sent me wonderful tracks for '50 Euro Boy', 'Undulatos Esperatus', and 'The Enchanted Mirror'. The brilliant Paul Mercer is featured on 'Kindred' and 'Let You Go'. I was able to get some classic cello work from Marzia Rangel for the opening piece, 'Kindred'.
