I wrote this in 2005 or so, it was one of the compositions I was playing around with while writing my first solo CD, the InfraWarrior album. I called it "Tribal Danse" at the time. Like a number of other pieces, it sat in the 'songs not used' folder as it didn't seem to fit stylistically with the album. In 2009, while we were writing Faith and the Muse songs for : ankoku butoh : I pulled it out for William to listen to. He jumped on it right away, it became "Nine Dragons", released under Faith and the Muse in 2009.
